Reflecting Day 4

houston.com

I am going to the Rodeo Cookoff on a work night. I am going to try and not think about how tired I will be Friday morning and focus on having fun. BBQ and beer here I come...

Disco Heaven.

These are sketches of Lady Gaga's tour costumes by Armani Prive. Amazing! I am heartbroken she is not making a tour stop in Houston or Texas any time soon...

Being told what to do.

Friendly Matters

It's funny when you think about the friends you have and how you evolved to be so. I find that when it comes to friendships, some people are easier than most. What I mean is, sometimes when I meet people it's just an instant thing. You know from that moment that they were meant to be in your life. There is no difficulty and the relationship only grows because something is there. For other people it's too hard to maintain and it becomes a chore rather than an experience. I don't know, I just think about my friendships and each one of them is very unique and every person is so different, but in a way they are the same. Makes me very happy to know that these people are in my life.

Reflecting Day 3

Here's an update of my challenge to myself:

1. Started a donation drive at work to help aid teens going to prom (yay!).

2. Said yes to attending a work sponsored hockey game next week.

3. Started a new "contact one friend a day" campaign (Facebook does not count).

More to come...stay tuned!

Blah.

I am stuck in a fashion rut. This weather makes it hard to get excited about clothes since the stores got rid of everthing with sleeves, but have provided me no replacements for Spring. Not like I could wear anything Springy, since we are expecting snow today. I am sooo ready to trade in the layers for a strappy sun dress and oversized sunglasses.

Post Secret...

There are a lot of websites/blogs I am obsessed with, but this website is one of my favorites. It allows people the chance to share their deepest secrets through post card confessions posted every week. Sometimes the secrets mirror my own thoughts that it's scary.

Reflecting.

So, Lent started this week for me and I have decided to give up red meat in addition to the meat I fast on fridays already. I also have been thinking of challenging myself in other ways because I find myself in a routine. I am craving an adventure of some sort. After watching "Yes Man", I explored the idea of maybe just saying yes to things I would normally not do, say or think. I want to start with movies, then work my way up to music and food. I am ashamed that I have never seen Star Wars or that I saw Top Gun for the first time last year(I know). So anyway, the goal is to do one thing a week and then eventually I will do several weekly. If anyone has any suggestions, please feel free. The answer is yes.

Lace Dreams...

I've never been the type of girl who grew up envisioning her wedding day. However, lately everyone and their momma has recently gotten engaged or hitched that I know. Since I am standing in some of those weddings I find myself around many a wedding dress. Some have seriously caught me eye, but then I snap out of the trance after seeing the price tags (yowza). But it's fun to play pretend...

All Monique Lhuillier.

I'm Just A Girl...

After a lunch with the boys, I noticed how indeed men are wayyy different than women. I noticed that the topics of coversation always deal with sports, business and involve nicknames/abreviations for everything. Why do men do this? I guess the story isn't good enough until you add a clever name to every person, place or thing involved.

Walk, walk, fashion baby...

Okay, I am going to admit right now that I have a slight obsession with Kim K., but only because she has such great fashion sense. Most of my fashion idols all share similar tastes and I like to think I see little bits of my personality in each one of them. Let's take a look at some of my favs of fashion.

Gaga! She dares to wear things I only can imagine wearing in real life. I love her boldness!

She is what I want to be on the weekends. Fun, casual, but flirty!

Ahh, Kate! Who else can make the hobo look chic?

And I can only dream to be this cool and amazing at 40!

Hello Gorgeous!

Alright, I am new to this blogging stuff, so bear with me while I get the hang of things. I don't know the direction I am taking this, but hopefully I will figure it all out as I go along.
